Winners of Emerald Literati Awards

Three lecturers, namely Dr Santhidran Sinnappan, Dr Thanaseelen Rajasakran and Thinavan Periyayya from the Faculty of Creative Industry (FCI) were overwhelmed when they were awarded the Emerald Literati Awards for Highly Commended Paper by the Emerald Publishing.

Their paper investigates how the male gaze can be used in the market segmentation based on Male Gaze theory by Laura Mulvey. In this theory, the world and women are depicted in the visual arts and literature from a masculine and heterosexual point of view.
