With the increasing awareness and hard work demonstrated by UTAR academics, the university is confident of further growth in terms of the number of publications accepted in Scopus and Thomson Reuters Web of Science indexed journals and conference proceedings in the years to come.

The cumulative number of publications accepted in Scopus indexed journals and conference proceedings increased from 1452 in 2013 to 1752 in 2014. Figure 1 below indicates the progress shown by UTAR researchers at UTAR from year 2002 until 2014.

The citation for articles (indexed in Scopus) increased from 1598 in 2013 to 1737 in 2014. The cumulative citation was 4422 in 2013 and rose to 6159 in 2014 as shown in Figure 2 below.

For the publication accepted by Thomson Reuters Web of Science indexed journals and conference proceedings, Figure 3 below indicates the progressive improvement over the years until year 2014.

The citation for articles (indexed in Thomson Reuters Web of Science) increased from 1000 in 2013 to 1138 in 2014. The cumulative citation was 2746 in 2013 and rose to 3884 in 2014 as shown in Figure 4 below.

The yearly cumulative impact factor (Thomson Reuters Web of Science) for UTAR stood at 356.25 in year 2014. Figure 5 below indicates the growth in the yearly cumulative impact factor for the University.
