With the increasing awareness and hard work demonstrated by UTAR academics, the university is confident of further growth in terms of the number of publications accepted in Scopus indexed journals and conference proceedings in the years to come.
The cumulative number of publications accepted in Scopus indexed journals and conference proceedings increased from 3,811 in 2018 to 4,507 in 2019. Figure 1 below indicates the progress shown by UTAR researchers at UTAR from year 2002 until 2019.
The citations for articles (indexed in Scopus) were 6,167 in 2018 compared to 7,504 in 2017. The cumulative citations was 33,854 in 2018 and rose to 45,168 in 2019 as shown in Figure 2 below.
