International Symposium Microwave and Optical Technology 2013 (ISMOT2013)

28th to 31st October 2013, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

ISMOT 2013 was successfully organized at Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa, Kuala Lumpur from October 28-31, 2013.  The event attracted a total of 75 participants, namely researchers, academics and professionals from India, Japan, Spain, Italy, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, UK and the US.

ISMOT 2013 was extra special as it marked the 27th year since its inception. It adhered to the fundamental objective of providing an international forum for the exchange of new ideas, thoughts and realizations on physics, technologies and applications of microwave, optoelectronics and related fields. The highlights in the research advances of microwave and optical technology covered interesting topics such as microwave components and circuits, optical components, microwave and optical communication systems, electromagnetic theory, microwave photonics and the topics concerning the microwave and optical community.

A total of 38 symposium papers were presented during the symposium. Selected papers of the biennial ISMOT will be published in the Special Issue of the International Journal of Microwave and Optical Technology (IJMOT).
