With the increasing awareness and hard
work demonstrated by the UTAR academics, the university is confident of further
growth in terms of number of publications accepted by Scopus and Thomson Reuters
Web of Science Database in the years to come.
The cumulative number of publications accepted by the Scopus
database increased from 1154 in 2012 to 1414 in 2013. Figure
1 below indicates the progress shown by UTAR researchers at UTAR from
year 2002 until 2013.

The citation for articles (indexed in Scopus) increased from 1216 in 2012 to 1517
in 2013. The cumulative citation was 2800 in 2012 and rose to 4317 in 2013 as
shown in Figure 2 below.

For the publication accepted by Thomson Reuters Web of Science
database, Figure 3 below indicate the progressive improvement over
the years until year 2013.

The citation for articles (indexed in Thomson Reuters Web of Science) increased
from 761 in 2012 to 962 in 2013. The cumulative citation was 1739 in 2012 and
rose to 2701 in 2013 as shown in Figure 4 below.

The cumulative impact factor (Thomson Reuters Web of Science) for UTAR
stood at 315.29 in year 2013 (based on data generated on 29 January
2014). Figure 5 below indicates the growth in cummulative impact
factor for the University per year.
