Publication Report
With the increasing awareness and hard work demonstrated by UTAR academics, the university is confident of further growth in terms of the number of publications accepted in Scopus and Thomson Reuters Web of Science indexed journals and conference proceedings in the years to come.
The cumulative number of publications accepted in Scopus indexed journals and conference proceedings increased from 2,601 in 2016 to 3,110 in 2017. Figure 1 below indicates the progress shown by UTAR researchers at UTAR from year 2002 until 2017.

The citations for articles (indexed in Scopus) increased from 5,937 in 2016 to 7,189 in 2017. The cumulative citations was 16,397 in 2016 and rose to 23,586 in 2017 as shown in Figure 2 below.
